B & W CT8 SW Subwoofer
|
Subwoofers in home theatre systems can sometimes sound like 'add-ons'. This is because setting up a subwoofer for both the highest quality music performance and the greatest impact in an audio-visual performance can be a compromise. But it needn’t be that way.
The CT8 SW is a passive subwoofer designed to handle the Low-Frequency Effects (LFE) channel, not by blunt addition but by extension of CT8 FR front speaker bandwidth down to 13Hz, reproducing the LFE signals without risking musical dynamics and imaging. A subwoofer used with each CT8 LR, controlled by the CT8 XO crossover/equaliser means that low-frequency effects are integrated with the front speakers, removing even a whiff of compromise. Closed box loading, a Rohacell® driver, and a 70 litre Matrix™-braced enclosure together mean home theatre bass will never be quite the same again.
